Neutraface Typebook

A 20-page booklet showcasing the typeface: Neutraface

Objective: Create a booklet that showcases and explains a typeface. Must have a history of the typeface, 3 quotes, and be book bound by hand.

When approaching this assignment, I decided to pick a typeface with many different weights and versions. Neutraface was a perfect choice. I wanted to create a booklet that would be like a stack of sticky notes with the font increasing as you flip through the pages.

The size would need to be elongated to fit all of the content on it. The booklet also could not be staple stitched, or it might get stuck in the middle of the booklet. It would also need a lot of pages to allow for the flipbook effect to work. None of these challenges inhibited me very much in creating the booklet. The binding was more difficult than staple stitching but was not impossible to get right. The flipbook worked but admittedly not having the same effectiveness as what I originally envisioned.  However, the abnormal size, the binding, and the number of pages, created a very nice final booklet.
